The source says after Whitney’s funeral service, Cissy Houston, Whitney’s mom, begged Oprah to ‘watch over’ her granddaughter because there’s ‘no one else I can trust.’

Cissy said her grandbaby Krissi needed someone to look up to because her life is spiraling out of control. Cissy said she ‘feared’ what might happen to Bobbi Kristina once she returned to live in Georgia with no one to watch over her and she urged Oprah to give the teen a fresh start in California at her OWN television network.

When Cissy asked Oprah for help, she couldn’t resist. “Oprah was one of the first people invited to Whitney’s funeral because Cissy knows how much she meant to Whitney. Afterward, Cissy and Oprah hugged and talked through their tears. Cissy said they could not save Whitney, but there’s a chance to save Krissi. Choking back tears, Oprah said she would do whatever she could to help save, and help her refocus her life by looking toward a promising career.”

True to her word, the media titan has told Bobbi Kristina that she will teach her all about television. Apparently, this $1 million job offer and Oprah’s promise to Cissy is the “secret” behind her interview with Bobbi Kris — which airs this Sunday, March 11 on OWN...

Despite Chris dating model Karrueche Tran, he reportedly got down on one knee to childhood sweetheart Rihanna last year. According to Star magazine, the couple are planning on announcing the shocking news at an engagement party Mambo hayooooooo.

“[Chris] proposed in November, but [Rihanna] said she wasn’t ready . . . But she finally accepted the proposal in late February,” the magazine claims.

“She’s not wearing a ring until they can announce it at an engagement party, but Rihanna’s already told her friends and family that she’s engaged.”

NOTORIOUS B.I.G MURDER INVESTIGATION COME TO LIFE AGAIN

The investigation into the slaying of Notorious B.I.G. was "reinvigorated" just a few months ago as a result of new information ... 13 years after he was killed in Los Angeles ... this according to CNN.

A task force made up of local and federal law enforcement agencies is actively pursuing new leads, according to the network, but no further details are known. 

The investigation reportedly includes the Los Angeles Police Department, L.A. County District Attorney's Office and the FBI.

Biggie was shot and killed in 1997 while riding in an SUV after a music industry party at the Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles.

Fans of popular 90′s band, New Edition led by ‘bad boy’ singer Bobby Brown are definitely in for a treat as he has promised to give them the show of their lives.

The singer, who made his way out of the arrivals section of the Murtala Muhammed International airport in Lagos at about 4pm, Wednesday March 7, 2012,  accompanied by his crew members and security personnel, yelled ‘Nigeria’ apparently in excitement to be finally in the country.

Looking casual in a tee shirt and baseball hat and obviously exhausted, he however managed  - being given virtually no time to interact with journalists – to convey his excitement to be performing in the country.

‘Hot!‘ he replied jokingly when asked how it felt to be in the country. He also added that he ‘just got here‘ so couldn’t actually describe how it really was like being in the country for the first time.

‘I’m promising them a great show‘ he replied when asked what his fans are to expect of his performance before departing in a convoy of vehicles.

As Mexican tycoon Carlos Slim tops the Forbes rich list for a third year and British author JK Rowling slides off the billionaire's roster, here are the top 50 richest individuals for 2012.

Mexican tycoon Carlos Slim retained his position atop Forbes magazine's annual list of the world's billionaires on Wednesday with an estimated worth of $69 billion.Microsoft Corp cofounder Bill Gates ranked second at $61 billion and Warren Buffett third at $44 billion. France's Bernard Arnault, the richest person in Europe, repeated at No. 4. They were the same top four as last year.

The youngest self-made woman at age 41 was Spanx founder Sara Blakely, whose net worth of $1 billion from her business of making slimming undergarments affirmed there was profit in vanity. Blakely, ranking at No. 1,153, was among 104 women on the list.

Fifty-eight countries were represented on the list of a record 1,226 billionaires whose average fortune was $3.7 billion. Some 128 billionaires were new to the Forbes rankings this year, including Colombia's Alejandro Santo Domingo, 35, the richest new billionaire in the world ($9.5 billion) and the face of Santo Domingo Group after last year's death of his father.

In addition to the usual ageing plutocrats and heirs, Facebook founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg, 27, ranked 35th with a net worth of $17.5 billion. The social media heavyweight announced plans last month for an IPO that would value Facebook at a projected $100 billion.

Zuckerberg jumped 17 spots and $4 billion while the combined value of seven Facebook billionaires was $28.7 billion, including the $3.5 billion belonging to Dustin Moskovitz, 27, Zuckerberg's former Harvard room-mate who was listed as the youngest self-made man.
