After 20 years, Bow Wow is dropping his stage in preference of his real name Shad Moss. The 106 & Park host has to decided to retire the name that launched his rap career to fit his grown up image.
The 27-year-old announced via Instagram, “After BET awards I will no longer go by Bow Wow! I’m going by my real name ‘Shad Moss’ we made a lot of history as bow wow. Now its time for the next chapter and challenge.”
The name change slated to take effect June 29, is part Moss’ growth. “Bow wow doesn’t fit who I am today’” he explained. “Ima father business man, TV host, Actor and rapper! Time for MR Moss to take over!”
