Drake Take "SHOTS" At Jay Z During Toronto Vs Brooklyn Game + This Isn't The First Time Drake Called Out Jay-Z!

Drake took a little dig at Jay Z while providing commentary during Saturday's NBA playoffgame between the Brooklyn Nets and the Toronto Raptors. "This is the people's team out here tonight, you know what I mean, Toronto Raptors," he said. "Jay Z's somewhere eating a fondue plate."
The Toronto rapper was being interviewed by TSN commentators Matt Davlin and Jack Armstrong about his hometown team's first playoff appearance since 2008, as Complex reports. "It's our time, and we gotta keep it competitive," he said. "It's an ironic matchup." The Raptors' round one opponents have a notable affiliation with Jay Z, of course, who held an ownership stake in the Nets before selling it when he launched his sports agency, Roc NationSports.
This isn't the first time Drake has called Jay Z out for unproletarian tendencies."It's like Hov can't drop bars these days without at least four art references!" he said in a recent interviewwith Rolling Stone. "I would love to collect at some point, but I think the whole rap/art world thing is getting kind of corny." Jay Z retaliated in his verse on Jay Electronica's "We Made It" remix:
"Sorry Mr. Drizzy for so much art talk," he says, "silly me rappin’ about shit that I really bought/ while these rappers rap about guns they ain't shot/and a bunch of other silly shit that they ain't got." Despite the Raptors' support from Drake, who signed on as their "Global Ambassador" last year, the Nets ended up beating the Raptors 94-87. Drake will continue in his sports commentary career this July when he hosts the 2014 ESPY Awards.
