AFRICA UNPLUGGED seeks to celebrate the spirit of Africa through Music,Comedy and Dance’
From Africa to London, this is one event that surely cannot be missed. On the 27th of August 2012 , 20 Acts within the African entertainment industry will take stage at Wembley Arena in the biggest ever African Music Festival in Europe.
From Africa to London, this is one event that surely cannot be missed. On the 27th of August 2012 , 20 Acts within the African entertainment industry will take stage at Wembley Arena in the biggest ever African Music Festival in Europe.
With a line up of 20 African artists chosen across 15 countries to perform at the festival, this event will be one not to forget. The event will be featuring the finest artists that Africa has to offer. With artists such as R2Bees the event is bound to be a success. R2Bees the dynamic rap duo from Ghana gave a strong indication of an unforgetable night. Other artists such as the famous Femi Kuti from Nigeria and Mista Silva (UK&Ghana)who’s currently buzzing the UK with his Afrobeats FULLVIM E.P will also be taking stage, including Cabo Snoop, WinkyD, Iyanya and many more. With artists as these, surely such as event will be one to make history and a change for Africa.
The event will be hosted by UK’s top comedian Eddie Kadi from DRC (CONGO). “I am extremely proud and honored to be a part of what is history in the making. AFRICA UNPLUGGED will not only be a modern day celebration of African music, but also an opportunity to highlight some of the major issues affecting Africa. What better way to do this then with some of Africa and the worlds most talented artists.”
The Bank Holiday Festival,AFRICA UNPLUGGED is surely the first event of its kind to take place in the UK as its bringing different nations together all for the purpose to achieve a mission for Africa. The Africa Unplugged festival is more than just an event for entertainment, but an event which aims to raise awareness of the struggles within african nations facing challenges such as Poverty,Malaria,War,Genocide,HIV/Aids,the lack of access to clean water and many more struggles that the continent has suffered from.

From this event the Africa Unplugged team are hoping that that their vision for Africa is achieved. The organisers saw everyday challenges that Africa bares and were inpsired to organise an event that will help the continent therefore a substantial portion of proceeds from the concert will go to support and address theses challenges Africa faces.
As these dedicated individuals have come together to create an event that we all will not forget , come support and help Africa rise, together we can make a change for Africa and make history.
